Jahangir’s Ranking drop

A year after his tenth and last British Open title in 1991 (pic) Jahangir Khan, then aged 28, dropped out of the world top 20 rankings in November 1992. He had not been lower than two from 1980 until February 1991 when he fell to three following illness.

The Pakistani star regained top spot but back injuries during 1992 meant a fall from 5 to 26 in the November listing. Another feature of the list that month was Australia occupying six of the top nine spots.
