On this day in 1982, eight years after its start, a number of ISPA (now PSA) members agitated for their organisation to appoint a manager and administrator. Signatories included Ali Aziz, Ahmed Safwat, Magdi Saad, Rod George and Chris Caird. Until that point the single administrative position was called secretary (held by Geoff Poole).
